We are headed to
ALASKA!!
What does it take to take a
family of 4 to Alaska? A ton of
planning, lots of shopping on Amazon Prime (I’m sure my mail lady thinks I’m
crazy!) and a little bit (or some nights a lot o bit) of wine š Sounds like a math problem, 4 people, 8 places to stay, packing for 4 seasons (including rain and snow!), while keeping everyone's bag under 50 pounds!
We are almost on Doug’s 2nd Sabbatical, a
mandatory month off from work. This is a
great perk to his job as a Partner at Plante Moran. Last time we took the kiddos Outwest in an RV, they boys were so
little (6 and 7)!! Now heading to Alaska we will celebrate 3 birthdays in
Alaska Doug (49), Sam (14) and Jake (13).
2010
Assuming all our luggage fits on
the plane (and in our rental car), we are leaving on July 1st. Last Sabbatical we blogged our adventure
along the way and it was a great way to preserve the memories of the trip. We are hoping to do the same this time
assuming we have cell service or wifi connectivity. So stay tuned, beautiful pictures to come and
I am sure some misadventures along the way!
